a familiar tune

familiar tunes eh? for some reason, especially these few days, whichever song that my ear happens to catch hold of, i would be transported back to a certain incident, or well i would be reminded of a certain someone. hmmm listening to alicia keys "if i aint got you" and it kinda reminds me of janz. speaking of the latter, she's out. sorry babe, i can't make it! i've got to stay home and rest. sigh. i haven't been possessing the best of health. stupid weather, stupid dust in the house, stupid medicine, stupid job...stupid PAP van that drives round my vicinity everyday drooning the same message "For unity, vote for the PAP. For harmony, vote for the PAP. For Singapore, vote for the PAP. For Joo Chiat, vote for the PAP......." TMD...for sanity, leave me alone! hahahha... speeakin offf voting....I AM VOTING THIS YEAR!!! whee! i mean some people haven't had the chance of voting, so guess i'm privileged to a certain extent. (*BUllllllshTT* come on! voting just gives one an illusion of being in control)

hopefully i can listen to them rally but if i missed the opportunity, i'll bring a dice and throw it. if the dice reads an odd number, i'll vote for PAP; if the dice reads an even number, i'll vote for the other party (damn it, i dun even noe...oh well)

enough of this crap. anyway........like wat i said, last week, susu decided to come down to meet us! hahah nah..she had this business trip so...yeah caught up with her (u better watch out, u better not cry, you better not pout i'm telling you why, susu actually came to town). i was lucky enough to catch her for a couple of days =)

ahhh...dinner with rongyang&susu at nooch before we headed to that news asia bar (?). a nifty place which overlooks singapore's cityscape. very pretty and romantic. i managed to talk to her and well try their margareta. yummzzz i met up with her again on two occasions but i didn't manage to take any photos. bleah!

ahhh thursday, we had a celebration for joanne (one of my closer colleagues). yeshh we're quite boliao. but yeap look at our greedy faces. =ppp

everything seems like a blur. esp for last week. the only thing i could remember was well, goin out with the colleagues for arjun's farewell. we ate at some turkish place and headed to devil's bar for well, some drinks. (OHHHH now i remember, i had dinner with keith and susu on saturday hehe)

i'm a cons-r-us kid! hahaha mann that sooo didn't go with that toys-r-us kid tune. *shrug*

i'm still sniffing. i'm not recovering. darnnn..! nevermind, if this continues, at least I can cough (maybe even literally since i'm coughing) up some stupid excuse for tuesday because i'm goin for another interview! this interview had better be good, because i'll either use the "i'm-having-a-VERY-bad-headache" or "i-had-to-send-my-grandmother (touch wood) to-the-doctor"excuse. either way i feel guilty for lying. SIGH.. i hate my job. my silly dad even casually said "then quit lor" wah laoo..quit then quite meh?? parents...tsk... teaching the youth (like meeee) wrong values nowadays. tsk.

anyway had a nice cosy meal with arnie baby again. =) even though it was in the middle of the food court, we caught up. well. i did mainly the talking (because of certain issues at hand) but either ways, i'm sure she enjoyed my company. =) after dinner, we met up with two insurance agents. yes. not for a double date but...we wanted to find out more about certain policies. we had a clearer idea of what we wanted to get but we're making a few dates (yes another date!) with my colleague's boyfriend and anne's friends soooooo.. we'll see. i mean even in services, you can do some "window-shopping". i call this the...damn...i can't tinkof any term for this...IT's our right lah! er.. but it's our right i suppose to find out and do some thorough research before finalising our decision. hey we're investing to a certain extent. it's our responsibility to make sure our money doesn't lie in the hands of some ass. =)

somehow, even though i was merely "window-shopping" (the services way), it kinda felt good. hahha! damn! it's almost as luring and seductive as window shopping itself! *giggles* i'm a girl after all, a walking sucker to almost all marketing campaigns (*coughs TRAPS*)

okok rambling time over. time to rest... time to get my beauty sleep. i can soooo foresee myself coughing. i've been coughin for the past hour. bahh...!

one of my silly housemates (try guessing who) asked me to check out this website. my initial reaction was WAHHHH LAOOOOO

man...guys and their cheesy lines. tsk, sooo yesterday. really, we girls won't be swooned and fooled by lines like these. i mean it's sweet and all, but u really think we buy them? it's like re-reading lyrics from those teeny pop groups that just make your blood curdle from its cheesy lines.

anyway romance has died. sad but true. and if it were to be personified, Romance is a liar. as jaded as i may sound, romance is dead to me. screw the movies that paint roses for the entity of romance. screw the songs that sing of endless love, and unconditional love.

my good friday weekend

hahaha this is super long overdue..but..oh well.. anyway was resting at home the whole day. was sick. my manager forced me to take MC =(( oh well, after this, i shall have a good nights sleeppp

brewerz dinner with my colleagues. it was quite a good night discing how singaporean dudes are not romantic etc. =ppp

i just had to show how greedy we were.

i brought my bro out on friday. we were supposed to take a cable car to sentosa BUTTT they HAD to have maintanence. soooo...

we ended up in the singapore science centre.

guess he enjoyed himself yeah? =) BUUUTTT hmmm i was super shacked out after that. running after him really takes a toll on your body. bleah!

hmmm this was saturday i tink. hahah had breakfast with mr lai at the botanical gardens =)

and obviously...a satisfied renee. nthing satisfies me more than food =)

after brunch, i met geok pei (karrrrrenn) for a round of shopping before meetin the rest. well didn't shop much, karen did though =)))

highlights

there were two groups of girls which made my week - the spices and the girth sistas (ie sex and the city gals).

on thursday, after a looong day (believe me, it was) at work, i managed to meet jean and anne in siglap for dessert. i couldnt meet them in time for dinner. dang. anywayy... we had quite a great time. we're meeting again tomorrow. whee.. =) this time it'll b in city hall. bahh..i prob have to take a cab. hopefully i can make it for dessert even. stupid work.

what do u know, we finally reunited since december. we had dinner at this restaurant down tanglin road. it has superb warm spinach salad. besides that, of course, the date didn't lack our usual spills and gossip. hahahha and yay! we're meetin next monday for another SATC session.

ohhhh yeahhh pers also made my mth! waiiittt...erm..this was taken like wat, in march? but hmm it was my first time meeting up with her since i came back. anyway it was nice meeting up cous!

i've to also mention that silly karen ong geok pei. was supposed to eat at her place and watch that blind girl ah-li show, but she was too lazy so...i took a bus back to watch it by myself.. sniff...

once again, another fragmented post. oops. but i love all these gals. =) they're like diamonds to me, allllll sooo precious. talkin abt this makes me miss another group of girls... my housemates....I MISS CHENG AND SUSU!!!!

worse year of my life (for now)

hmm i feel that way. i've no idea why. my birthday was a disaster (to a certain extent) and well, everything is probably not going my way. yeah i know i'm alittle bit of a control freak. guess that's wat happens if you put pressure on certain issues. you get expectations and then your bubbles burst.

i cried today (mann this seems to be a pretty regular activity. on a more positive note, it cleans my eyes i suppose) and as bimbotic as it may sound, at least i know my mascara and eyeliner are waterproof...and they really are! =ppp guys...or well, gals (and guys who like to experiment) u should definitely try maybelline's products. like what charms/alv would always say "is works". =)

my birthday has come and gone...one thing hasn't changed - i still hate my birthday. birthdays like most of those days (eg valentine's day, mother's day, father's day) are over-rated, and fairly overhyped. =)))

well...didn't do much for my birthday. just a getaway at changi and before that...wakeboarding with sam, lai, and keith. unfortunately keith's camera has all the photos. the photos that i took last week are also in his camera so yeah.... bleah.. special mention to KEITH'S SKILLSSS...he's like damn good lah.. i'm jealous. eddie (the instructor) says i should work on my arm strength. i wonder what i can do other than weights and dumbells.
