welll...to start off...it's chinese new year and in all parts of the world, chinese celebrate today and for the next 14 days ...*shrugs* to me, in the new generation, it's just a time to put on a false front and smile at relatives. call me superficial but i just hate people coming up to me and giving me the usual crap like "wow! you have grown!"or..phrases like"haven't seen you in ages...you've become prettier"awwww give me a break please!
chinese new year to the new generation is all about...ang pows. for those who don't know wat are ang pows, ang pows are red rectangular packets that have money stuffed in it. it's some kinda tradition to give red packets to young kids and people who aren't married. and the unfortunate souls who have to give away money are people who are....married! hahaha (one reason why i dun wanna get married..hee) well...hmmm *shrugs* i dun give anymore... the only reason why i stay at home is becoz i have to...and well..i'm going overseas to study soon so my mum thinks i should stay at home ....oh well...
and yes..i'm going overseas...to melbourne to do an arts degree. i'm pretty much lost now...i don't know wat to pack and argh.. i realy hope i get down to packing and preparing myself both physically and mentally for three years overseas. i just can't bear to leave Singapore, not the country but the people in it.
sigh...wish me luck on that..shall go download songs now........
